Kushikatsu & Takoyaki Seichan Shinjuku Kabukicho Location

Here is a report on a restaurant that provides delicious famous food from Osaka at an affordable price.

First off, the interior of this Japanese cuisine restaurant is spotless clean and has a sophisticated atmosphere.
We get things started with orders of the owner's recommended official drink of Seichan, "Kinkan Lemon".
Dinner gets off to a good start with a drink that refreshing drink!

We order right away for what we came here for: takoyaki, sometimes called "octopus balls" in English, and 6 of them costs us 350 yen. They are eaten plain without sauce or with soup stock. The texture of them is soft on the inside and crunching on the outside.

Next up is kushikatsu, skewers, which cost 80 yen each with over 50 types to choose from and also with limited seasonal items.
We order the classic beef and jumbo shrimp kushikatsu, and avocado and asparagus kushikatsu which are popular with choices with women!
Orders are done by using the paper at each table, a nice touch.

The orders arrive right freshly fried. Double-dipping in the sauce is a big no-no.
The meat was soft and juicy. The avocado was also creamy, but in a healthy way. They say it's something ladies order for sure, but I have to agree with that. The jumbo shrimp also comes with tartar sauce, so be sure to try it.

Also enjoyable are Osaka's famous gyunikomi (beef stew), udon, and doteyaki.
Most of the alcohol such as shochu, wine, and sake is only 500 yen!
For about 2 hours of enjoyment the bill will come to somewhere between 2,000 and 2,500 yen, so you're wallet will thank you.

Private rooms are also available which can accommodate up to about 10 people.
